Thanks a million for this text. The display on my aging S400 began appearing up a couple of months ago. I figured it was just dead, and began searching for a brand new digital camera. Then I stumbled on this web site. I known as Canon customer service and told them about the issue. They instantly emailed me a UPS label and i despatched off the digicam to the repair facility in Illinois. After years of use, the digital camera had different problems. Every so often I might get the dreaded "Memory Card Error" and "E18" error. The lens made a nasty grinding sound when it opened and closed. Also, the little plastic tab on the door to the compact flash slot had broken off and i had to keep it closed with tape. I bought the digital camera back in six days, utterly restored. They fixed every little thing, together with the reminiscence door and the lens drawback, at no charge. On a almost 5 yr old camera. They emailed me when they obtained the digicam to tell me they have been going to do the repairs, and emailed me again when it was completed, and included a FedEx monitoring number so I could possibly be there to sign for it when it arrived. Additionally they mailed a letter to my home documenting the restore. I've acquired to say, I am fairly impressed.
