The set 95524 Dread Eye's Phantom is an updated re-release of an earlier Mega Bloks Pyrates set,3660 Dread Eye's Phantom, that was released in 2005. The set contains Dread Eye's Phantom pirate ship that looks like it was carved from the skeleton of a massive whale. Also included are 6 minifigures of Captain Dreadeye, Shoveltooth, Nautilasher and Barnaclops all members of the Skeleton Crew, Diggers Johansen a Privateer and Brigadoon Blackburn a Sea Marauder. This set contains 143 pieces.
Description
The differences between this and the earlier set are that the sails are now black rather than white, and The Skeleton Crew insignia has gone. The throne has been removed, and the hull no longer lights up when 'fed'. New in this set is a dinghy being manned by Sea Marauder Brigadoon Blackburn. Dread Eye's legs have been changed to green, and Diggers Johansen's bandana has been changed to red. The box art depicts a black hull, but the actual set has the same gray color as the original.
The Dread Eye's Phantom set builds into a creepy light-up pirate ship that looks like it was carved from the skeleton of a massive whale. You can capture prisoners in the dungeon hull, or fire projectiles from one of its three cannons, the ship also has a deck that opens up and secret compartments for hiding treasure.
The Phantom seems to eat people and has enormous ribs along the sides. It is manned by men who are not really men at all but rather skeletons. The ship has a battered sail made of real cloth and a creepy "membrane" on the ship’s lower deck, which is where the people eating takes place.
