The 1035 Siege of the Flying Dutchman set is a Mega Bloks Pirates of the Caribbean set released in 2006 and was a combination set of three other sets from the original release of Pirates of the Caribbean sets, 1017 Black Pearl, 1026 Isla Cruces and 1029 Flying Dutchman. The set contains two very detailed buildable models of Jack Sparrow's ship the Black Pearl and Davy Jones' ship the Flying Dutchman. The set also includes nine minifigures of Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swan, Davy Jones, Commander Norrington, Bootstrap Bill, Will Turner, Pintel, Maccus and Palifico. This set contains 445 pieces.
Description
The Siege of the Flying Dutchman set comes in two separate inserts within a larger outer box, one inner box contains the Black Pearl and the other contains the Flying Dutchman. The Black Pearl features a pulley system, firing cannons and the captain's quarters and the Flying Dutchman has an opening hull, a collapsing mast and firing cannons, also included in the set is a resealable skull which includes all the pieces for the Isla Cruces set.
Jack Sparrow owes a life debt to the scourge of the ocean, Davy Jones. The broken pact results in a dangerous confrontation between the frightening Flying Dutchman and the agile Black Pearl as both ships race to Isla Cruces, the resting place of the Dead Man's Chest.
