Skylanders is a Mega Bloks theme that was first released in late 2012.

The Mega Bloks sets are produced by Mega Brands under a licencing deal with Activision the developer of the extremely popular video game Skylanders. The first group of sets were released under the Giants sub theme and were inspired by the Skylanders Giants game which was a sequel to the original Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure™.

The second series of sets released in 2014 were released under the SWAP Force sub-theme.
